Palm trees, a cruise ship, sea shells and other signs of the tropics were on display for the "Sail Away" theme at Kirkwood's seventh annual awards banquet and dance. Held at the Clarion Hotel April 16, it was an evening of dinning, eating and recognizing achievements of clubs, organizations and people who make Kirkwood activities happen. The evening included a social hour and a buffet dinner followed by a dance.

Many KCC clubs, organizations, outreach centers, athletes, coaches, advisors and students were recognized with awards for outstanding achievements. Recipients of awards and those recognized during the evening include:

Outstanding Male Advisor to an Organization: Bob Walker
Outstanding Female Advisor to an Organization: Kimberly Schultz
