Favorite team: New York Yankees
Favorite player: Derek Jeter
Got Started: Dad got him started playing baseball when he was 7 years old.
Previous experience: Pitched at Cedar Rapids Jefferson High School.
Why Kirkwood: Because he had heard good things about Eagles' pitching coach Jim Van Scoyoc.
Future Plans: To go to Iowa if he doesn't pitch for the Pirates.
Greatest moment: Junior year of high school he had two no-hitters in a row.
Coach's comment: We are looking to him to be a top four pitcher. He has explosive power and now all he needs to do is put his stuff together. He can pitch a 90 mph fast-ball. ~Asistant Coach Sadler
