Searching through seemingly endless Web sites and large stacks of textbooks can stress out any studious person preparing to write a paper. Kirkwood Community College students having issues finding fine-tuned information to their subject can simply: "Ask Steve."
"Ask Steve" is a new promotion by the Kirkwood Library and Librarian Steve Sickels. "Ask Steve" is a service provided to give students a better grasp on their reference materials by getting one-on-one personal conferences that may last up to 50 minutes. "We can guarantee that the student will have professional research help," said Sickels.
The service helps students refine their computer searches, analyze materials and complete research by themselves. "We're really interested in making sure students can do things for themselves," assured Sickels.
For a 50-minute meeting stop by the reference desk on the first floor of the library or call (319) 398-5697 to make an appointment.
