Volleyball coach one of many new faces

As a new year begins at Kirkwood Community College there are numerous new faces here on campus one of which is Head Volleyball Coach Jill Williams.
Williams' past experiences include coaching for the past six years at Upper Iowa University and serving as assistant women's basketball coach at Quincy University. Also Williams worked as a physical education teacher at Laharpe C.U.S.D. While there she served as the head coach for volleyball, girls basketball, track and was an assistant softball coach.
Coach Williams' stated her proudest achievement has been "seeing the athletes succeed on and off the court." Williams also stated that her goals for the season were "to take it one match at a time and win a conference championship."
Williams also added that she liked "the positive learning atmosphere and very good support of the athletic program that Kirkwood offers."
The volleyball season begins on Aug. 26 in Coldwater, Mich., where the volleyball team will participate in the Kellogg Tournament.
Kirkwood Athletic Director Kim Muhl added in regard to Williams, "We love Jill and give her our full support."
