EagleNet system gives new abilities, headaches

The 2005 fall semester at Kirkwood saw the introduction of a new web interface registration system called EagleNet. The abilities of this new system are far greater than those used through Kirkwood's previous form of registration, the K-TRAC system. With K-TRAC being terminated this summer, students were notified of the change to EagleNet in April via mail.

[b]KTS new season of classic movie scheduling[/b] Once again Phil Brown of Distance Learning/English will provide a line-up of movies to air Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8 p.m. with the "Tumbleweed Theatre" and "At the Movies with Philm." Kirkwood Automotive Technology Program Appointments are now being accepted for oil changing, tire rotations, coolant flushes, transmission flushes, power steering flushes and brake inspections.

New technology creates unsafe window for student cheating and plagiarism

Last semester, Eastern Kentucky University Professor Gene Kleppinger had five students who copied information off the Internet and pasted it into their papers without citation. Increased enrollment causes congestion on IC campus

IOWA CITY--The growing enrollment numbers at Kirkwood Community College are beneficial to students at all campuses. More students mean more money is being put into the school, which means better facilities for everyone. Nowhere is this growth more evident than at the Iowa City campus.
