As the semester progresses, many students forget about eating right and staying healthy.

Kirkwood's recreation center has stepped in to help, providing many services to keep students in shape and possibly even lose a few pounds.
The rec center offers four different classes for health and fitness. The classes are taught by instructors Mark Croy and Michelle Cook.

"All fitness classes are taught by highly experienced and certified instructors. They provide a great opportunity for students to stay in shape and have a good time doing it," said Josh Troutman, recreation and housing service director.

All classes are offered free of charge to Kirkwood students. Troutman stated there is no pre-registration required for rec center classes or seminars.

Students can join the fitness classes at any time bearing that they have clean shoes and an EagleCard.

The fitness classes started at the beginning of the school year and will continue through the end of the semester. Troutman said he expects the classes will continue next semester as well. Along with the fitness classes, the rec \center plans to add more health classes and informational seminars in the near future.
