The clothing displayed was arranged in an order to show off the best of the spring and summer season. They started with a day at the beach and finished it with an elegant night out in the town. In-between these two segments were four parts called "All dolled up", Arm Candy", and "Rock it," all of which was clothing at different levels of social appropriateness and activities through the day. The clothes for these segments were provided by Scheels, Aeropostale, Textiles, Maurice's, Young Attitude, Rue21, The Buckle, Dillard's, Vanity, and Younkers.
The students used these pieces to demonstrate their views on fashion, their personal taste, and the trends they felt would be appealing to the public. There was a final segment where other students were able to show off their personal creations. Tiffany Reed, Amanda Franks, Jenny Hall, and Michael Daggy all had personal designs in this last segment.
Each of them had drawn inspiration from variety of sources such as music, art, time of day, emotions, and moods. These pieces were very well put together and designed.
The show was put together under the guidance of Professor Sherry Swanson and the direction of Tiffany Reed. Kim Akers, Adreanna Boedecker, Shantel Bronemann, Angela Kauffman, and Kelsey Kibutz were in charge of Model and merchandise coordination. Marielle Cramer was in charge of stage direction.
Toni Jackson was the Emcee of the night while having done the promotions prior to the show along with Allie Denhartog. The models who were all hand picked form the pool acquired by placing various advertisements, and from people the students knew personally; did a very captivating job of flaunting the latest trends among the youth. They all displayed perfect level of mood and attitude for each segment. Over all the "Nuit" was a success. I was extremely impressed by the smoothness of the show and how well coordinated the whole thing was, for being their first. Good luck to all the students in their design future.
