Ever since its infancy mankind has pondered the answers to questions of morality and a new club, the Philosophy Forum, attempts to provide answers.

Every other Tuesday at 11 a.m. the Philosophy Forum meets in room 202 at the Kirkwood Iowa City Campus to discuss topics of moral importance.

The group is not just for students who have studied philosophy. The Philosophy Forum was created "for all with a little philosophical wonder," said Dr. Scott Samuelson, group adviser and philosophy and humanities professor.

Samuelson said he set up this group to "provide a conversational space for philosophical questions and concerns."

The first club meeting was on Feb. 5 and students discussed the morality of euthanasia and under what circumstances it would be appropriate to end the life of a suffering individual.

Samuelson said there is no scheduled agenda for the group and topics of discussion will be brought up at the beginning of each session.

The next meeting will be Feb. 19. For more information contact Samuelson at ssamuel@kirkwood.edu.
