Smoking ban not perfect

The article "Statewide smoking ban ignites debate" published on March 13, 2008, mentions the Smoke Free Air Act as well as concerns of students. The smoking ban is great in theory but unrealistic as well. As a non-smoker I like the thought of cleaner air. The effects of second hand smoke are not healthy and should be put to a stop. Banning smoking in hotels, bars, restaurants and sports centers are reasonable actions that should be considered but preventing a farmer from smoking in the cab of his tractor is preposterous. There is a fine line between allowing freedom and infringing upon someone else's happiness and freedom. A law needs to be enacted that bans smoking within a certain proximity of public facilities that would allow non-smokers to breath freely.
