Although Coach John Lewis knew it was coming soon enough, the Kirkwood Eagles Baseball team helped him to hit the milestone of 1,000 wins on April 27 against Southeast Community College. Kirkwood defeated SCC 6-2 in the first game of a double header. "It was great to have his work coaching pay off and get his 1,000 win.
"Player versatility gives lots of options, which is awesome," stated head volleyball coach Jill Williams. This year, with 16 players, William said she is happy with what each player has to bring to the team. The team returns five players from the 2007 season, with two Second Team All Regional members, Hanna Bruns and Tomomi Sakuri, along with Rachel Walker, Katie Johnson and Beth Ripperger to lead the Eagles in the 2008 season.
