Ghosts. ghouls, haunts and monsters

Halloween is not just for kids. There are many local and area events happening throughout the month of October for both kids and adults.

First year Kirkwood Community College Liberal Arts student Tyler Stiffer said he doesn’t think Halloween should just be for kids. “No, I don’t think it’s just for kids. I think you can make it more for you. You can make it more adult,” he said.

Nikita Thies, a first year Liberal Arts student, and Ryan Staats, a returning student working toward a degree chemical engineer agreed that they don’t think that Halloween is just for kids either.

“Throw a party, buy candy and decorate,” said Thies. “Adults can make it for adults.”

Watching a scary movie was one suggestion by Staats to celebrate the holiday. “Any Friday the 13th movie is good, or Chucky. I’m very into the idea of horror movies and scary stuff,” said Staats. “It’s just the thrill of being scared. It’s kind of the only reason why you go to a haunted house or watch a scary movie.”
