After a slow start, dropping two of their first three games on the road to open their season, the fast-paced Eagles flew to victory Saturday, Nov. 7, in Johnson Hall against Culver Stockton College.

The Kirkwood Community College women’s home opener was a dominating game from the opening tip.  The Eagles were stifling on defense, forcing turnovers and capitalizing on the offensive end.  Eagle hoopsters ended the first quarter ahead 28-2, and the route was just beginning.

The sixth-ranked Kirkwood women's basketball team cruised to an 85-26 victory over Culver-Stockton College in Johnson Hall. This improved the team’s record to 2-2 to begin the year.

Madison Wood had a strong game for the Eagles with 14 points, eight rebounds, two steals, two assists and one blocked shot.

Deleyah Harris joined in on the balanced attack with 13 points. Cyerra Hutchins also scored 11 points and Ariana Dampier had 10.

Coach Kim Muhl used all 13 players on his bench in the game and 12 of them found the scoring column. Rylee Voss, Cyerra Hutchins, Dominique Jennings and Chazney Jones had five rebounds each. Ariana Dampier led the team with four assists.
