BerniePalooza is a caucus concert in which bands will be playing to support Bernie Sanders campaign and even raise funding. The event will happen in Iowa City at Gabes on Fri, January 29th . The venue will be hosting an assortment of bands. One of the featured bands is from Kirkwood, formally known as Hexgirls but renamed to Jimmy and the Stimulators for the concert due to one of the band members being a libertarian and not wanting to play the show.  Students Charlie Paterson, Nick Fisher and John Fisher will be preforming as Jimmy and the Stimulators. Bands were asked to play to support the campaign and the Fisher brothers have been cited as being huge Bernie fans so they accepted. Doors at Gabes open at 7:00pm with the show lasting from 8:00pm to 2:00am. It’s a great way to support local bands including ones formed by Kirkwood students and help fund Bernie Sanders campaign. The concert is 3$ at the door and all funds go to the campaign.
