Las Vegas shooting still fresh in minds as horrific tragedy

It was Oct. 1, 2017, on the Las Vegas strip when 64-year-old Stephen Paddock fired more gunshots than one could count from his hotel room as country singer Jason Aldean was performing the finale of the Route 91 Harvest music festival for nearly 22,000 spectators.

In the process Paddock killed 58 audience members and injured 546 others. The shooting itself occurred at 10:05 p.m. when Paddock broke two of his suite’s windows to fire the rounds. Initially, the audience members mistook it for fireworks.

While investigating the situation it was found out that Paddock, along with a large quantity of ammo and magazines, had a purchased a stockpile of weapons before the shooting ever occurred.

It was also stated from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives that the guns were purchased legally in Nevada, California, Texas, and Utah. Investigators also found a “Do Not Disturb” sign on the front of his room and security surveillance cameras both inside and outside the room to presumably monitor the anyone that was coming his way.

The last thing that should be noted is that Paddock spent time planning his exact distance, wind speed, and trajectory so that there would be guaranteed perfect shots from his room. In Stephen Paddock’s own right, this makes him one of the most insane and one of the coldest, bloodiest killers in America today and should be condemned for his actions.

The 2017 Las Vegas Shooting has become the No. 1 most horrifying event in the United States, to which the death toll count has surpassed the count of 2016 Orlando Nightclub Shooting.

A total of 36 women and 22 men died from the gunshot wounds to which was and is a very sad sight to see while the other 546 who were injured bravely stepped up to protect the ones they loved whether their relation be family, friends, or strangers.

Even though Paddock played a cowardly man’s act when for the entire shooting and committing suicide thereafter, this is another event when danger strikes us as American people and as people of society will do anything it takes to protect the values of worship the time and the things that we do have because life is short.

Just because he did commit one of the biggest acts of his life and in history does not mean he can get away with what he did. The overall reason is because one way or another justice will ultimately prevail.
