The fall semester and the year is quickly coming to an end. Now, it is time to prepare for final exams and plan for festivities during the long break away from class.

After spending time with family and friends, it is time to get back into the grove of getting up and ready for class.

The spring semester starts in January, along with new opportunities and challenges starting off the new year. It is important for any college student to start fresh for the new semester and stay open to new opportunities and be aware of new challenges. Starting off with beginning a new schedule of classes in a variety of new subjects.

Choosing the right classes can help further a degree and ease the challenge of fitting those classes into an already busy schedule. Then, working around that schedule for joining clubs and other activities such as getting an internship. This also includes a new set of challenges that most college students face when trying to juggle classes, a job, a social life, and other endeavors at one point or another in their college career.

Students have different perspectives on how they would like to improve for the next semester. Alex Helmick, Liberal Arts, said, “I think the pros and cons of how the last semester went and try to do better and improve on those negatives or just get rid of them in general.”

The new semester brings a chance to learn from past mistakes made and be better prepared for the challenges when facing similar situations down the road. As each semester goes by, the more that is learned about facing situations.

College is a different experience for everyone and trying to make the best of it. Making every experience memorable as well as valuable for the time spent in secondary education. Working hard through the bad times and enjoying the good times.
