Women's basketball quest for eighth national title and back-to-back championships ends in heartbreak with national championship game loss

The Kirkwood Community College Women’s Basketball team won the Region X1 championship following a 65-52 victory over North Iowa Community College. The win gave the Eagles a berth in the NJCAA National Tournament. They made it to the championship game where they fell 62-58 to number one seed Monroe Community College.
