Representatives from Walt Disney World Resorts and Theme Parks will be at the Cedar Rapids campus of Kirkwood Community College on Thursday, Feb. 16, to recruit students for paid internships in the fall.

Sessions will be offered at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. in the Gritter Room in Iowa Hall. Each session will last 50 minutes.

Internships are open to all students in good standing. The internships will be for the fall semester.

Kirkwood is the only community college in Iowa where Disney actively recruits, according to M.J. Klemme, assistant professor of marketing/management and faculty representative for the Disney program. Since 2002, more than 100 Kirkwood students participate in the Disney College Internship Program. This spring 13 students affiliated with Kirkwood are interning for Disney, she said.

Students may apply online for the internship opportunities and attend the recruiting sessions for more information, according to Klemme.
