The Kirkwood Eagles coming off an away loss to Lincoln College dominated on their home court in a game against the Grand View University Vikings Tuesday, Nov. 12.

Grand View University was able to keep it close with Kirkwood leading by just one point at half time, 35-34.  Then the Eagles opened it up in the second half.  The team's 65.3 percent field goal shooting was too steep for the Vikings to match.

Among the top performers was sophomore John Christopher Fuller.  He had a terrific night with 70 percent field goal shooting and 5 for 6 from the free throw line for a total 21 points.  He also had 1 assist and 6 rebounds.

 Myzeah Batie-Gaddy made 16 points, 1 block, 2 steals, 2 assists and 5 rebounds.

Taylor Olson added 15 more points to his season total.  He shot 57 percent for field goals.  Also contributing big points was freshman forward Chris Ward with 9.  He also accumulated 1 rejection, 1 steal and 4 boards.

A couple players coming off the bench who attributed good production were Ajay Lawton and Austin Swank.  Lawton put up 6 points, 5 assists, 2 rebounds and 1 steal.

Swank played for a total of 10 minutes.  His last time in came at just under 3 minutes of final play.  He grabbed a nice rebound and put it back in with 1:30 to go in the game.  Then, with 30 seconds left, he nailed a three-pointer from the top of the key giving him 5 points against the Vikings.

The men's basketball team proved they are masters of the take away, creating 19 turnovers.  The Eagles outperformed the Vikings with a final score of 92-64.
