Apple’s generosity outrages some users

Two weeks ago U2 released their 13th studio album to the public but before people had the chance to pull out their wallets they already had the album. U2 made a live deal with Apple during one of their concerts to release their new album for free to the public.

The album includes the strong lyrics of Bono and the cord shredding guitar styles of “The Edge”, and of course the thunderous rhythm section made up of Adam Clayton on bass and Larry Mullen Jr. on drums.

However, not everyone is happy about the new free album. Some people feel that the album was forced upon them.

“The Talk” host Sharon Osborne released a statement comparing the band to “middle-aged political groupies.” She also stated, “No wonder you have to give your mediocre music away, because no one will buy it.”

This is not the only thing to come around about U2. Some are even calling it the final nail in the coffin for rock n’ roll, due to U2’s partnership with a corporation which some might say is everything rock n’ roll is against.

To comply with those who are upset about the unwanted album, Apple released a tool to remove the album from all Apple devices if the user wishes.

Apple spent $100 million to give everyone a free copy and had to spend additional money to allow users to remove it.

Along with that, it is also uncertain if the album will officially go platinum as fans did not buy the album so album sales are in decline.
