Sophomore men’s basketball player Michael Weber completed his career at Kirkwood Community College by collecting Second Team All-American honors from the National Junior College Athletic Association.

Weber’s All-American selection came just weeks after earning First Team All-Region and Region XI MVP accolades.

Averaging 11.8 points per game, the Ames native led the Eagles to a No. 2 ranking on the finals polls and an Iowa Community College Athletic Conference championship. Weber led the team in scoring with 376 points and a 42.9 field goal percentage. The Eagles finished 27-5 overall and 13-1 in conference.

Last season Weber led the Eagles to a fifth-place finish at the NJCAA national tournament and an ICCAC conference championship. He averaged 9.1 points per game and collected Second Team All-Region honors.
