Men's golf team swung into action on April 1

The Kirkwood men’s golf team is looking to get off to a good start to the spring season. Coach Darin Pint is entering his 16th season as head coach of the team and Chris James is entering his second season as the assistant coach.

Kirkwood has three sophomores and six freshmen on the roster this spring.

The sophomores are Kirby Brown, Dalton Stevens and J.R. Schultz.

Freshmen golfers are Jordan Azbell, Marcus Giltner, Mitch Jacobi, Nate Molak, Ryan Johnson and Sean Cleary.

Kirkwood’s first meet of the season was played April 1 and 2 at the Viking Classic in Ankeny. The Eagles finished at fourth place in the team standings.

Kirkwood has the Ashford Invitational, Ellsworth Invitational and Wartburg Invitational coming up in the near future.
